I wanted to give you an update on our gas work schedule on Gilman St.
We were shut down from doing night work by the city last week. We have rearranged our schedule and coordinated with the MMC Garage construction to accommodate day work between A St and Congress St. Our plan currently is for Shaw Bros to use the Congress St gate starting May 17th giving Unitil access to Gilman between A and Congress on days for ONE WEEK. That said, this section is narrow and our trench is located toward the middle of the street. We were unable to run our new main toward the curb as planned due to some underground conflicts. We will not be able to keep a lane of traffic open for deliveries through Gilman, but we will post detour signs and staff additional traffic control personnel (if necessary) to route delivery trucks around to A street to reach Gilman. If this is a problem, please reach out and let me know as soon as possible so we can find a solution before work begins.
