Meet the District 2 City Charter Commission Candidates, June 8th 2021 election

The 12-member City Charter commission will be empowered to propose changes to the structure of city government, subject to approval by voters. The last time a commission was convened it proposed reinstating a popularly elected mayor, with day-to-day operations the responsibility of the city manager.
An absentee ballot may be requested by calling the City Clerk’s office – 207-874-8677 M-F, 9:00am to 4:30pm or by mailing, faxing, or scanning a completed June 8, 2021 absentee ballot application. Mail to the City Clerk’s Office at 389 Congress Street, Portland ME 04101, fax to 207-874-8612, or email to elections@portlandmaine.gov.
Absentee Ballots will become available and provided to voters beginning early May. The last day to request ballots is Friday, June 4, 2021.
